Noon Kids Concerts provide arts-related performances for the youngest among us. Each program is less than an hour long and designed to keep even the most active youngster ooh-ing and ah-ing, wiggling and giggling. Offered at no cost to the community, these performances are held during summer vacation at Donner Park at noon.
From the early days of United States History, comes cowpoke Lonesome Paul Odenwelder with another great Children’s family show. Paul Odenwelder sings the songs and tells the tales of the American cowboy, which had its heyday from 1840- 1900.
With an old west set from the days of Doge City, Kansas and Tombstone Arizona, Paul tells of the many legends of the old west and sings many songs about the exploits and challenges of the American Cowboy!
Join Adzooks Puppets in this merry romp, as the classic character of Mr. Punch experiences the responsibilities of a modern day dad when Judy places him in charge of watching the baby. Mr. Punch is anything less than tickled pink when he loses the little nipper and needs the help of the audience and his old friends to find the baby before Judy returns home. This interactive experience is sure to leave the audience pleased as Punch.
The character of Mr. Punch is over 300 years old and has roots to a comical hunchback character in the Roman theatre as well as in the pantomimes of the commedia dell arte. A Victorian favorite of young and old alike, the story of Punch has taken many twists and changed many times over the years. A true rascal and rouge of the puppet world, Mr. Punch has always taken great delight in making mischief, but has always kept pace with the problems of his times to the delight of his audience. In this original story, Adzooksmakes Mr. Punch a man for the millennium in this original story taking the characters from the traditional tale.
