The Arts Council introduced glass forming workshops in 2012. Led by artist Lisa Pelo, the workshops offer community members the opportunity to experience the glass-forming process. Pelo is a glass and metal artist and the owner and operator of Hot Blown Glass, Ltd. She specializes in creating blown, cast, slumped and fused glass and metal art. Her mobile shop provides glassblowing demonstrations at various off-site venues and events, and additionally, accommodates interactive hands-on glass forming experiences with the public in those venues.
This year’s event will feature the opportunity for participants to make glass pumpkin paperweights.
