BIG ART BANG IS A THINK TANK FOR VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN.
It provides educational experiences, critical thinking, networking and leadership growth to students and professional participants. It is a valuable resource that connects future Fine Arts & Design students with opportunities to network and apply critical thinking to real world issues in connection with the professional community. This year our community partner is Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center.
Sustainability is the focus of the event. Big Art Bang features a day of professional development in the spring to bring together a diverse audience to experience art, design, growth and leadership. This activity should broaden the Ivy Tech Columbus brand, create community relationships and develop leadership and visual communications learning experiences for Ivy Tech students of various disciplines. Community relationships enhanced through Big Art Bang will strengthen our business community and the college as well as further enrich the lives of our students.
Big Art Bang contributes to the professional development of our students:
- Annual think-tank
- Address real communications issues with critical thinking
- Professional development
- Involvement of professional societies, such as AIGA, ASMP
- Create positive community outcomes
- And address regional and global initiatives
