(Indianapolis, Indiana) – The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today it is currently accepting applications for its Capacity Building Grant Program.
The IAC’s Capacity Building Grant Program (formerly known as Technical Assistance) is a two-year grant program (January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2015) for organizations that provide capacity building to their constituents, not for organizations looking to receive capacity building for their own organization.
The Capacity Building Program provides resources to eligible organizations with appropriate, realistic strategies for developing individual and organizational skills that would strengthen the capacity to meet at least one of three core objectives:
- Building stronger arts organizations;
- Developing stronger communities through arts partnerships;
- or advancing the role of the arts in public and private education and personal development.
The Capacity Building Grant Program is a competitive grant program open to any private, not-for-profit, tax-exempt agency, with 501(c) (3) status, or an Indiana public entity (city, county, or state government). The applicant must be incorporated in the state of Indiana at the time of application, and must not have any outstanding final grant reports with the Indiana Arts Commission. No matching funds are required for this grant program.
Organizations may request up to $5,000 per year; or up to a maximum $10,000 for the full grant period.
Organizations are strongly encouraged to review the program guidelines which are currently available on the IAC website at: www.in.gov/arts/grant&
Applications must be submitted through the IAC’s online grants system no later than 4:30 p.m. (EDT) July 15, 2013.
Paneling of the Capacity Building Program applications is scheduled for August 27, 2013 with final approval at the Commission’s September Quarterly Business Meeting.
The Indiana Arts Commission is committed to the vision of the arts everywhere, every day, for everyone in Indiana.
