Fourth Annual Community Book Read

A work of fiction becomes a real-lief worldwide social movement.  Catherine Ryan Hyde's Pay It Forward is an action plan within a work of fiction.  A teacher assigns a voluntary, extra-credit project: Think of an idea for world change, and put it into action. Trevor, the 12-year-old hero, explains to his teacher: "You see, I do something real good for three people.  And then when they ask how they can pay it back, I say they have to 'Pay It Forward' to three more people.  Each.  So nine people are getting helped."  And so on.  And the numbers grow! 

Ms. Hyde shares this incredible journey, which includes establishing the Pay It Forward Foundation, and success stories from all over the world.
