Grant Resources for Arts Programs
Many resources are available to help subsidize the costs
of an arts education program. Please contact the Columbus
Area Arts Council with any questions.
LOCAL GRANTS MAKING:
Region 9 Grants
· Mini grants- Through the Mini-Grants program the
Columbus Area Arts Council offers support for new and existing
arts activities produced or presented by non-profit organizations
in the counties of Bartholomew, Decatur, Dearborn, Franklin,
Jackson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland. This program
awards matching funds up to $1000.
· Arts Project Support (APS). This type of grant provides
funding to Indiana arts and non-arts organizations to support
a distinct aspect of the organization's arts activities such
as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an
educational seminar, or series of related arts activities,
such as art classes of training sessions.
Application deadline:
March 2005 for projects dated July 2005-June 2006.

Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation Grants
Any Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation professional
staff member may submit an application. Priority will be given
to funding projects which meet the following criteria:
a) innovative educational programs that impact students, and
maximize learning for the education system.
b) educational programs that relate to departmental curricular
goals, and
c) the amount requested in $1500 or less.
Deadlines October 1 and February 1.

Columbus Area Arts Council Mini-Grants
The Arts Council offers these mini-grants with funds raised
through its annual United Arts Fund Drive. Mini-Arts Project
Grants provide support for arts projects that have an impact
on arts expansion in the greater Columbus six-county region.

Mockingbird Foundation: Music Education
MFI offers competitive grants to schools and nonprofit organizations
that affect improvements in areas of importance to the Phish
fan community. The programmatic focus is music education for
children.
